Annual ‘Reclaiming Our Future’ Conference

The conference provided a platform for advancing First Nations youth to embrace economic development goals while encouraging them to recognize and pursue economic initiatives within their own communities. Through two days of workshops, panel discussions, keynotes, and cultural activities, the conference succeeded in:

• Raising awareness of economic development and its significance to First Nations communities, especially within the context of colonial impacts.
• Facilitating knowledge exchange between seasoned Indigenous business leaders and youth participants.
• Fostering connections among young people interested in economic
  leadership.
• Empowering youth with practical tools for building future career paths.
• Encouraging cultural continuity by integrating traditional values into economic development strategies.
