The Norway House Cree Nation Economic Development Group leads strategic initiatives that strengthen our local economy, support community-owned and member-led businesses, and create meaningful employment opportunities.

Guided by our 5-Year Economic Development Strategic Plan, we focus on supporting existing businesses, creating new opportunities, and advancing Nation-building priorities through planning, partnerships, infrastructure, and investment. We work at a strategic level, developing projects, securing funding, and providing guidance to departments and community members to support sustainable economic growth.

Our mandate is rooted in long-term planning and opportunity creation for the benefit of all members.

To become the Economic Hub of the North. In five years, NHCN will have developed enabling infrastructure, grown our local economy and skilled workforce, and improved community well-being, resilience, and prosperity through economic development.
