ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join us for the 2nd Annual ‘Reclaiming Our Future’ Youth Conference hosted by Norway House Cree Nation! This year’s theme is “Building Strong Economies: Honouring Traditions, Embracing Innovation”. The conference will be held in Norway House Cree Nation from August 29th to 31st.
This event is designed for youth aged 14 to 30 from the Treaty 5/MKO First Nations. During the conference, you’ll have the opportunity to attend engaging workshops, participate in interactive activities, and gain valuable insights from influential community leaders and inspiring guest speakers. The entertainment portions will take place at the Fisherman’s Co-op stage at the Lakefront.
Get ready for three unforgettable nights of entertainment! We have an exciting lineup planned, including award winning artist Supaman with opening act, Humble Rumble. On the second night, enjoy a hilarious performance by influencer and comedian Sherry McKay, and later that night be captivated by our youth talent showcase. The final night will feature a modernized Indigenous performance by the Magoo Crew, followed by a spectacular pyro-musical fireworks show by CanFire.
Whether you’re passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, Indigenous leadership, Environmental sustainability, Health & Wellness, or any other field, we have something for everyone. You’ll have the chance to learn new skills, gain valuable insights, and connect with like-minded peers who share your aspirations.
